I’m a proud first-generation IBEW member and third-generation union tradesman. My path has always been rooted in labor solidarity, member advocacy, and standing up for working people. I got my start in 2010 at age 19, joining Alliant Energy and IBEW Local 204 on the IPL property in Iowa. I was originally from Mosinee, Wisconsin, and even though I was working out of state, my heart was still back home. After about a year and a half, I made the move back to Wisconsin and took a Service Worker job in Mauston with WPL (Alliant Energy), where I became a member of IBEW Local 965.
Getting into an apprenticeship was my main goal right out of high school, and I stuck to that path. In 2013, I started as a Large Gas Metering Specialist and Regulation Technician, and by September 2016, I had completed my apprenticeship and became a journeyman. I accepted a position in Baraboo,WI, where my family and I live today. On April 1, 2017, I stepped into union leadership, moving from my role as Steward to Assistant Business Manager and Organizer for Local 965. In 2022, I was elected Business Manager and Financial Secretary—and re-elected in 2025. I take this role seriously and with pride. My leadership is built on transparency, strategic planning, and making sure our members have a real voice in every decision.
Outside of Local 965, I serve as Recording Secretary and Treasurer for the IBEW Wisconsin State Conference, Chairperson of the Utility Workers Coalition, the IBEW 6th District RENEW Representative, and a Delegate to the South Central Federation of Labor. I’m also a proud husband and father, and I’m committed to building a stronger union for the next generation.
The IBEW has shaped who I am, professionally and personally, and I’m honored to keep working every day to make this great union even stronger.
I started in the utility industry in 1997 as an Apprentice Lineman for Madison Gas and Electric. At that time, I became a member of IBEW Local 2304. In 2001, I earned the title of Crew Leader. During my 10 years at MG&E, I served as an Executive Board Member, Shop Steward, Recording Secretary, and Bargaining Committee Member for Local 2304. In 2007, I joined Alliant Energy as a Journeyman Line Tech in Windsor, Wisconsin. In 2011, I became the Lead Line Tech in Windsor along with Chief Steward for Dane County (Unit 7). In 2018, I was honored to earn the title of Blue Hat for Electric Operations at Alliant Energy (WPL). The Union has been the cornerstone of my career since day one. I look forward to filling the role of Assistant Business Manager and working for ALL of our Union Brothers and Sisters at IBEW Local 965.

I started with Alliant Energy in 2008 as a Line Tech Apprentice in Ripon. Ten years later, I moved to Beaver Dam, where I am now a Lead Line Tech and Lead Steward. I became involved with the IBEW 965 while in Ripon as the Lead Steward and soon joined the Renew Committee. In 2018, I was appointed Vice Chair of the Renew Committee. I represented members of Alliant Energy on the 2022 Negotiating Committee and was elected President in June 2022.
I started my career with Alliant Energy as a Customer Service Representative in the Call Center in 2014. In 2015, I moved into the Billing department, where I have been ever since, as a Customer Support Representative. In 2022, I served on the negotiating committee, joined the Women’s Committee, and was elected as IBEW Local 965 Treasurer.
