Crews across the territory worked long hours, including through the Easter holiday weekend, to restore power after a recent ice storm impacted more than 20,000 customers. Notably, there were zero reported injuries or accidents. Our members continue to demonstrate why they are true professionals and among the best in the industry. Thank you to everyone who sacrificed time away from family, worked in the worst conditions, and safely handled hazardous energy to provide a service that is vital to the public. You set the standard, and you are exactly why we deserve a fair and equitable contract.

The IBEW 965 negotiating committee has designed and approved negotiations apparel including stickers, snap-back hats, and t-shirts. When the items arrive, they will be made available at Union Meetings and distributed to Local Union Stewards, Executive Board and Negotiating committee to help deliver to the membership.

Join us for Union Day as The Milwaukee Brewers will recognize union members at the Brewers vs. Marlins game on Sunday, July 19th at 1:10 PM at American Family Field . The IBEW Wisconsin State Conference will be hosting a pre-game tailgate in the Uecker Parking Lot, providing food and drinks for attendees to enjoy before the game. IBEW 965 will also be purchasing 100 tickets for IBEW 965 members to attend. Additional details regarding ticket purchasing and transportation will be made available in May, so stay tuned for more information on how to be part of this event.

Please see remaining union meetings for this month. Unit 2 and Unit 3 were cancelled last week and have been rescheduled. It’s important members make efforts to attend meetings to hear what’s happening during negotiations.
